Po Výročnej Konferencii Metodistických žien Kentuckyho, spolu so Susie a Martin Kalz som cestovala do mestečka Somerset, v ktorom oni bývajú.
(Liljana)
After the Annual Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church, together with Susie and Marty Kalz, I traveled to Somerset, KY, a small town where they live. On Sunday, October 23rd, I attended the worship service at Science Hill United Methodist Church. This was my second visit to this church and during the morning worship I was able to talk about the life and work of the United Methodist Church in Serbia.
This was an honor and an exciting thing for me. I was touched by the willingness of the brothers and sisters to sing a song I had suggested - a song that is known on both sides of the ocean. Even though this church does not have an official partner church in Serbia, they are very interested in our work here. They carry our work in their prayers and help in any other possible way, according to their possibilities. Susie and Marty have been visiting us in Serbia for the past four years and have indeed become our ambassadors in the US. For the next Summer, there are some other people from the church that have shown interest in coming to Serbia and help us, as volunteers, in our work in our church in Padina. (Liljana)
